Virginia Energy is now accepting proposals for grants to support groundbreaking energy technologies. This program focuses on areas such as nuclear innovation, hydrogen, carbon capture, and energy storage. The deadline for grant applications for this program is August 30th.

Grant awards are made at the discretion of the Virginia Department of Energy and in determining grant amounts, the following criteria will be considered:
- return on investment
- impact on energy affordability, reliability, and clean energy goals in the Commonwealth
- capital investment
- utilization of research-based technologies
