Energy Education + Training Series
This new energy literacy training program is designed to prepare decision makers and the energy workforce with a strong interdisciplinary foundation of the modern-day energy system, which integrates a variety of energy sources. Each energy focus area is structured as a specialized training session. Unique enhancements will be provided to supplement the core classroom education, including industry guest lectures, site visits, and case studies provided by partner organizations and Virginia Tech faculty. Upon successful completion, participants will earn digital badges that validate their expertise and can be shared with employers and professional networks.
Energy focus areas: Electric Power Systems, Fusion, Hydrogen, Natural Gas, Nuclear, Solar, Storage, Wind.
Where: 700 Tech Center Parkway Suite 305 Newport News, VA 23606 (Limited to in person participation)
Time: 12:00pm – 4:00pm (Lunch will be provided. Please email lsweeney@vt.edu if you have specific dietary needs)
