Accelerator program updates
Each of our accelerator programs is continuing, and over the last two weeks, we’ve hosted a variety of sessions. During Week 5, Accelerate companies took part in the Dominion Innovation Hub event, getting in front of Dominion Energy’s internal stakeholders. Hyperscaled companies heard from a panel of economic development professionals, and Precursor companies focused on reverse engineering their numbers to set sales goals and targets. This week, all of the teams met with psychologist and digital health founder Emilio Goldenhersch to talk about founder emotional health. The Precursor teams worked on their sales pipelines and the other teams had a session with Utibe Bassey, Dominion’s Vice President for Customer Experience. DEIC continues student outreach.
Braden Croy spent time with over 150 high school students in Chesterfield County talking hydrogen. As part of our MAKE-IT grant, DEIC created these Hydrogen Innovation Toolkits, and Braden ran experiments with the students to create a basic electrolyzer.
