Virginia Energy Innovators to Compete for $10,000 in the SPARK VIRGINIA Innovation Challenge at Energy Tech 2025
Richmond, VA – The SPARK VIRGINIA Innovation Challenge, a State-wide pitch competition featuring Virginia’s brightest energy innovators, will award $10,000 in prizes to finalists at the Energy Tech 2025 Conference on March 6, 2025, at the Science Museum of Virginia.
This high-stakes event invites Virginia-based startups and entrepreneurs to pitch their solutions to a panel of judges, including investors, utility executives, and energy leaders. The competition highlights transformative technologies shaping the future of the utility, energy, and climate sectors.
“SPARK VIRGINIA is a platform where innovators can showcase their cutting-edge ideas and compete for funding that can accelerate their commercialization journey,” said Braden Croy, Program Director at the DEIC.
The competition will feature eight finalists, selected from statewide applicants, who will deliver a five-minute pitch followed by five minutes of Q&A. Judges will assess the finalists and allocate $10,000 in prize money based on innovation, impact, and commercial readiness.
